My Holiday Description
Coopers Beach Christian Youth Camp
My Young Men’s Journey
As I arrive to the chapel my heart skips a beat feeling so pumped ready to say goodbye to my family as I leave for the Young Men’s camp.
The roaring sound of the siren goes off and it’s time to go. I turn to my parents to give them a hug and a kiss. I wave to my parents then suddenly I hear my friend screaming out to me saying “We can’t be late,” I rush to him and we both head inside and got separated into two teams, I was in black and he was in green. Before we left we got a little pep talk from the leaders. After we did some activities just to warm us up for the morning. My team lost but I felt like a winner anyways.
I took my bags to the van. I turned my head to the left and I saw one of my church buddies. I chucked my bags into the van and sprinted out to him. I caught up to him and saw that he had a hurt himself on the arm. he looked like he was in so much pain, so I run to get a leader to come help. The bleeding starts to overflow and it looks like a volcano when erupted. Brother Smith come to the rescue and patches up the bleeding mess. Then the siren goes off and we are all commanded to hit the road.
The engine starts off and I could already feel the sandy beach and the fresh breezy air. I open the window as we are on the road and swing my head out but while the wind is touching my tongue, a bug gets caught too. I put my head back in and open my bag to grab a fresh packet of Skofs. Opening up the bag was my favorite part because I could already taste the divine treat even though it hasn’t touched my mouth yet.
The Skof chip lands on my tongue and my taste buds are really happy. we stop at
a park for more activities. The game that we played was a four way tiger war. and each group settles in and grabs one piece of the immense rope. The siren howls of loudness and the games begin. We fall to the ground and I all I can taste is dirt and grass in my mouth.Monday, 24 June 2013

Rubbish Debate.
We are responsible for the rubbish in our school.
We both agree that we know it is us that causes the rubbish in our school and that needs to stop!
Everyday we see children littering around our school , not caring for our school grounds and that’s just not right because the teachers are not are parents .We are mature enough to pick up after ourselves. I am motivated to try stop this because animals are dying everywhere due to how we litter. We are suffocating the air for different types creatures all around the world.
Rubbish can cause important school tournaments to be postponed or even cancelled. Without observing the area around you may ask “WHY!” because the fields are filled up with food scraps and compose that can damage players and put their bodies on the line.
Multiple abominable decisions may ruin our school reputation and gives us horrible reports because the E.O.R (Education office review) might see the rubbish that is piled up in the fields and on the playground and they might think “Wow what a messy school” and give us a bad report that will give Tamaki Primary a bad name.
Well listen to this: if this goes on how would we live like this? And what if rubbish is going to keep on flooding our school, how will we stop this? We also think if rubbish stops the school. Will we still be up there with the top schools? Will we even still have a school name?. Please make a difference and stop! this.

Misimoa- Narrative Writing- The Magic Flying Carpet
It was a mysterious evening because my mother had disappeared I don’t know where but I tried so hard to find and I'm sure she couldn't have gone so far because it was only this morning when she told me she was going grocery shopping until suddenly... I sighted a secret door well it look secret and then I found a strange looking device that had a play button in the centre of it and at the back of it was a white sheet covering something. So then I pressed play on the strange looking device and up popped a hologram of my father he had said to open up and the white sheet, sit on it and say the following words that’s when I paused the hologram. I pulled off the white sheet and an dusty old rug was just lying on the ground so I sat down and played the rest of the following tape. He said to say “fly le vaalele fly” and as soon as you know it the rug started to wiggle and up I went flying on air. It felt like I was walking on air.
When I was in the air the rug took up into the clouds and it was taking me somewhere but then the rug started to slow down because there was a dark palace with lightning and disasters and it took too much space so we had nowhere to go. So the rug floated me slowly inside the castle very slowly. I saw shadows rushing across the room. I was so scared I nearly hugged the rug viciously. we floated a couple more steps inside and then boom! cannons were going off and me and the rug zoomed through the cannons dodging the all of them but lucky one nearly had me but it skimmed my nose and clashed somewhere else. then when that mess was over we saw a dark smelly tunnel so we went inside and the tunnel led us to more danger there were knives flying, flames bursting from the ground and we had no idea how to get out of this one. The rug had some sort of remote that had a defence shield. I pressed the button and there was a bubble that started to surround me and the knives was just bouncing off the shield and clashing into the solid walls making tiny dents in it. Boom boom we heard loud stomps and went there slowly ROAR! a raging giant grabbed me started to squeeze me and it was nearly going to squeeze me to death but then the rug brung out these intense machine guns and started shooting but the giant felt no effect. The rug tickled the giant and as soon as possible the giant let go of me and I fell onto the rug and the rug and I flew off and the exit door was right in front of us then zoom there were lasers slicing through. We tried to dodge the lasers but they were too much of a maze to get passed then we used the shield and went in then when we hit the first laser weeoh weeoh the security alarm went off so we rushed to the exit door and flew out.
And there it was standing right in front of us the palace of heaven we glided there and I jumped off the rug and opened the door and I couldn't believe my eyes but my mum and dad were having tea. I said “Mum, dad how could you, have tea without me” so then my mum told me to come have tea but I refuse and jumped on the rug and zoomed off into the clouds just flying around the palace.
Term 2 - Writing Sample
It was a dim night and I was working. I worked for a spy corporation L.C(Lars Corporation)with my brothers Lutimi, Simon, and Tupou. We were hyped up for our first mission. My My boss was Larz he told us to take some weapons and gadgets for safety so me and my brothers sprinted to the weapon area and took some guns, knives and gadgets. Larz call us in for our first mission he showed us the location we had to go to. And off we started up the car and zoomed off and we were pumped up and confident but little did we know that we were heading to a haunted house.
Finally we arrived at the house and the house look pretty beat up. We took our weapons and headed inside we kicked the door open and turned on our flashlights but the house look like nobody was there. Then when we were all inside the door shut closed right before my eyes. I heard rain pouring down and it started to come in because of all of the leaks in the house. my brothers were scared to death but then I heard scratching but couldn't see through the darkness and I was wondering where is the noise coming from. I had to dig deeper if I wanted to know so then I told my brothers to follow me. We walked closer getting closer and closer then “Crash!” the chandelier fell and clashed on the floor then we took a step closer and the vase flew across us and collided with the wall and Simon said “Now I know why this house looks crumbled up. Carrying our gadgets and stuff we couldn’t bare to stand but we had to do it for our team. I took out my thermal metre and tried to scan were the ghost are. I nearly pick up a signal but it left so I said “Split up into two groups me and Lutimi will go right and Tupou and Simon will go left.” As soon as we split I started to plant cameras around the house to scope the scene incase some unusual happens. Then I called one of my friends to tell him to watch the cameras. 12:03 and midnight had faded away. So this time we had to move fast. My mate called back and said “We have a situation in room 104” so then I replied “What is it?” Then he replied” There’s been a some things flying around. I rushed there right away and then the thermal metre was beeping going crazy.
I saw a little boy sitting in the corner so then I took out my gun... took my first shot and then right before my eyes swoosh he disappeared before I could get him. I started to sprint faster and faster then I found him again and tip toed to him but then he stood up and opened up the tinned ghost capturer and chanted “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust put this boy into the ghost capturer.” the boys ashes flew into the can and I quickly closed it and by the time we got out of the house we jumped into the car and took off. Mr Larz was very proud of us and gave us permanent mission hunter badges.

A Flash In Time
It was a really bright morning but slightly windy at the same time and no one was driving on the street. I was just looking at my grandpa he was only standing there gazing back at me and so I look to the other side and saw the trees swaying like a Hawaiian ladies grass skirt going left and right. I turn to the other way and the road was just looking like there was a tractor who just swallowed it up. Then I turn and looked at the back of me and the pohutukawa tree was so bright I thought it was Christmas.
Looked back at my grandpa and he said to me in a deep small whisper “Why are you here?” and I replied “ I'm here because of you.” I heard my grandpa crying because he misses me and he replied “Go back go back” I yelled “No!” and his spirit just drifted away it was just like the wind blew him away. I searched around for him but still he wasn't there then I heard whispers in my head I ran to a tree hugging it so tight I thought the tree was going to pop. The voices in my head were so loud it was like I was in a tornado and everyone was just saying “Help, help.” Finally the voices stop my head was clear I finally listen to the birds singing with their chirps and the rocks on the road rolling and crackling like it was the bird little instrument.
I could feel the rough bark and chilly wind just hitting my arm giving me goosebumps. I feel a the leafs falling down laying down on my soft skin and my soft silky hair. I could also feel the grass covering my feet as the wind blows it. My clothes are waving like a flag. I feel my face going really cold about to faint but I know I have to find my grandpa.
As I'm hugging the tree I smell sausages I think but it was just the the pohutukawa tree. I also smell the fresh grass and the salty breeze. When I was hugging the tree I smelt the honey from the beehive all the way up in the tree. I smell the leaves that fall on my head. Then I smell a spirit nearby. I can smell the salty sea water splashing on the edge were the rocks are.

My Ancestral Poem
I am a proud Samoan with no shame to hide sometimes I lie but nothing will take away my Samoan pride.
I am a male,
boy not a girl,
a loud 12 year old pearl.
A proud Samoan who loves fire dancing, throwing fire in the air, trying to bare the heat with sweaty hair.
A Samoan who likes slap dances, hearing my ancestors doing their chants and fighting for me in battle.
My ancestors live in me,
their past decisions have shaped who I am today and if it weren't for them my days will feel like rain.
I will take my ancestors with me,
They may not be with me physically but they will be with me in spirit just like the wind.
I see myself inside an arena fighting for the championship title against John Cena.
I will rise in the future with my ancestors cheering for me and crying tears of joy.
I will succeed with the comfort and love of my ancestors.

My Best Friend
This is my poem that I have submitted in the poetry box competition.

My Best Friend
To my dear friend Tupou.
Friendship is not a gift it can not be bought or sold not even with gold.
It takes more then to just care to be a friend you have to try and blend .
I have a friend,
we have stood strong,
he has been there for me from the beginning of the road.
Even though we fight a lot our hearts shall not be apart.
You will never be alone because your friend is there with your hand in hold.
We can be kind of crazy and fun but Our friendship is a song that I will remember,
the rope can’t break when we are together.
True friendship is from the heart when you get along with somebody then something will start.

My Autobiography
This week I presented my autobiography in front of my class. There are some personal information I have deleted because I'm being cyber smart. In my presentation I shared interesting information about my life, inspirations and future aspirations.
Who am I?
My name is Misimoa I am 12 years old going on to thirteen nearly going to attend college. I am also a year 8. My name does not have a meaning but I was named after my grandpa and my grandpa use to be a chief in Samoa.I was born in Samoa in the island of Apia but I don’t remember much because when I was two I came with my mum to New Zealand. I have three sisters plus my sister’s boyfriend but I like to call him my brother, two cousins, my parents and my nana. It’s a pretty big whanau but they protect me a lot of times. I’m funny and sometimes annoying I’m like a dog barking in everyones ear. I like sweets, friends and family and I dislike people who hurt my relatives, 9:00 (bedtime) and homework.
Aspiration
When I grow up I want to become a wrestler in the future because they get a lot of money and I can help my family with whatever they are stuck with. I also want to become a wrestler because of the moves that they do and how they entertain the people and I’ve always wanted to return and just shock the world making them get off their seats jumping up and down cheering me on screaming my name then there’s that moment where you are delighted that everyone is happy to see you back. I think my mum will help me get to my aspiration because she always been there for me. God because he can help you do anything and my grandpa because I know he’s looking down on me and saying “You can do it.”
Inspiration
The people that inspire me are Jeff Hardy because he does extreme stunts, Eddie Guerrero because He’s athletic, Rey Mysterio because He’s a high flyer and Sin Cara. I think my family will help me get to my aspiration because they have given me the blessings and the strength through my whole life and also my inspirations because if I wasn't inspired by them I wouldn't have a goal to reach. To get to my inspiration I need to be good in school and try to get excellence in my work. If I want to become a wrestler I need to take different types subjects like P.E, maths, english, and science.

My Individual Description
Talofa lava, Hello and hola my name is Misimoa and welcome to my interesting world. My background was set in Samoa I was there until I was two months then me and my mum flew here where the kiwi’s live the beautiful New Zealand. I am 12 years old and also a year eight in school I have short silk hair sometimes soft and sometimes rough and I have chubby cheeks and I also go to a mormon church (LDS). I am funny because I tell hilarious jokes, clumsy when I’m not concentrating on the topic, cheerful because I always cheer for my friends and faithful because I have faith in God. I speak Samoan and English at home mostly Samoan but I don’t know that much samoan only a little bit but when my family talks to me I just “Yeah” to make it look like I understand. I also have my besties Tupou, Tevita, Johnny and Tim Fi They're the ones who back me up sometimes they also make me laugh, cry (happy) they make me feel like I am a mature adolescence.
I come from a family of eight, my old sister is Lorrine and she is quieter than a mouse waiting for the right moment to strike. My second oldest is Mavis she’s the grouchy one she can growl like there’s no tomorrow and my oldest sister is Sina she’s the responsible one so whatever goes on in the house she sorts it out like Dr Phill. I also live with my two cousins to me they are like my brothers who help me when needed and my nana she sleeps a lot. You never know when she’s going to shut down plus my mum and dad they're really cool because they help me in school. Whatever I need they’re there for me then there’s me but my grandpa he was the coolest guy in the world I think he was stronger than David Tua’s dad but my grandpa is dead now so all the cool days are gone but I will always remember some.
My community is Tamaki around all of panmure and G.I I live in panmure so that’s how I know I live in the Tamaki community. My school is part of the Manaiakalani cluster. The Manaiakalani is where we got our netbooks from. I live on Tripoli Rd that’s near Panmure Bridge School. For college I’m going to One Tree Hill. It’s funny because my mum told me “What college do want to go to?” I replied “Mt Roskill” she said “No your going to One Tree Hill” and I was thinking then why did you ask me ooohhh waste of time.
My hobbies include soccer and touch which is my thing. Touch is a good game because you get a lot of great opportunities to run with the ball and get a try. Soccer is the most athletic sport in the world they get a lot of money more than basketball players can you believe it. I come from Samoa where all the islanders are live. Samoa, Samoa is a country where little kid climb the biggest trees just to get one cocoanut. They are using all of that strength just for one cocoanut. Samoa is also a country where people walk around bare feet on the hot spicy concrete.
My hopes for 2013 is getting an award for in prize giving, getting excellences in my work and not getting distracted, going into every interschool sport for year 7&8 by the people around me and get some excellences in my work, I’d also like to get a good education and getting better at maths and going up into the highest group. My fears in T.P.S are not getting excellence, staying in at playtime and finishing my work, getting caught playing games, not getting anything in prize giving, not getting a good education.
Learning from success is important but learning from failure is vital to succeeding.

Is it good to save energy?
Why do we need to save energy?
(So our world can live in a world full light not full of darkness.)
You’ve heard parents say “Turn THE LIGHTS OFF” OR “cLOSE THE FRIDGE DOOR” AND YOU WONDER WHY?
Just by making some small changes to energy in your house will help you save money and help earth be a better place .Energy has been there when we’ve needed it.bUT If we use too much energy that is bad for our earth like Methane and Co2, a very bad gas is released and that is called greenhouse, sOMETIMES when we leave something on when we are not using it you might think it is not a big deal but on the other hand you are making global warming a bigger and more dangerous thing for us. if we carry on using too much energy you are looking at massive floods and huge storms.
ENergy is important, if there was no energy how would we live? Save energy by not using too much and have a energy power plan on how to save energy. The best part of saving energy is that if you save heaps of it you will save a lot of money. We would barely survive without some energy sources but the biggest source of energy you can find is the sun, if this big ball of fire disappeared for some reason all of us will perish including the earth itself. So when you do something including energy have a little think about what damage it can do to our earth.
Energy is a very important to us and we use it in some good ways but using cars and other transports that make global warming more dangerous is a very big problem, there is a easy solution to this, it is to just walk once in awhile or riding a bike, you can even help by simply changing a lightbulb to a more efficient one.
So our personal opinion is that this can help with the war against global warming. This is why you should save energy, i hope you have learnt something from this.
Thank you for listening to this piece of writing from tupou, misimoa and sake.

Hello my name is Johnny English and I’m on a mission to track down a man who tried to shut down my company the S.S.A (Super Secret Agents). This was the beginning of my mission I had to climb to the top of his tower and try to walk across a rope.
Before I saw the very long rope which was like 20 metres long I saw a suitcase and newspaper . I tried to think of a plan to try help me walk along the rope so I took both. I jumped on the edge of the building and started to think “My life is on the line” I saw two men on the other side and they must have been the two men that tried to shut down my company.
So I put my first foot on the rope and then the second foot went on the rope I prayed that I wouldn’t die I put both items on each side and tried to balance myself but I just couldn’t because the suitcase was heavier than the newspaper. I dropped the newspaper and it landed on the concrete and as I was looking down I saw that it was a long way down. I look forward and whispered to myself “You can do this”. I Closed my eyes and started walking.
I walked only about 5 metres and I knew that I had a long way to go. I Tripped and fell but I was still holding on to the rope with my hands and along I went and just to make my day worse I got rope burn. I fell off the rope but as I was falling my friends from the S.S.A came and saved me by putting out a trampoline and I was rescued but I still have to complete my mission and the two men were got away.

Observation Report
This term me and my group studied about kumaras. Which one will grow first the big kumara or the small kumara.
On Friday 10 of August my group collected two plastic cups, two kumaras, one big and one small and four kebabs sticks. We were going to test which kumara would grow roots first.
First we filled up the the two plastic cups with clear water and then we put both kumaras inside the two cups of water. Secondly we stabbed two kebab sticks into the big kumara so it could balance properly. We did the same with the small kumara and waited for it to grow.
After 2 weeks we noticed that the small kumara grew fur and one big root and the big kumara didn’t grow any roots. I think the big kumara didn’t grow roots because it didn’t get enough sunlight
