Digestive System Explanation

Have you wondered what happens to the food that you crunch? Well let me tell you...

First it gets crunched into tiny pieces of crumbs plus the saliva makes the crumbs into really watery slimy, sticky ,spit.

Second it dives down and gets squished in the long tube called the oesophagus where it puts the crumbs into the ...
Stomach area. This area has stomach spraying smelly acids that break the food down.

Next it travels to the...
Small intestine which is 25 foot long including where the villi sucks out all of the nutrients from the food.

The crumbs take a trip to the large intestine land which is 5 foot long and it absorbs water.

Finally it waits to go out of the rectum and goes into the dungeon which is the toilet.

So there! That's how your food turns into poop!

My Beautiful Place

I am going to tell you about a secret place my beautiful place...

There is a big racing car as fast as a lightning bolt with a jet pack at the back to boost. There is a shining cage just like jail cells and a beeping tracking device that is very noisy. There is also a humongous robot hiding behind the steaming curtains. Next to it are all my weapons and spread out on the floor are stunning booby traps .

I can feel the cold breeze shivering through my skin. I touch the tough armour from the cave. It is as strong as King Kong or Hulk. You never know if my camera glasses will haunt you. Stink bombs, guns plus my knife belt never know when it might strike.

You’ll taste blood trails and the temperature rising. The enemy alert yelling like horse in danger. A tingling sense of water from your eyes and food from the fridge including the silk from my undercover costume.

There will be a ringing phone from my shoe. Stink bombs going kaboom! The robot’s body moving with a laser watch zig-zagging away .

You’ll smell the fresh air, enemy's sense of smoke coming from the stink bombs around with slime dripping very slowly one by one, right down, drip, drip.

That is my beautiful place...do you dare to enter?

Describing Piri Weepu

It was windy as I looked out from the stadium to see Piri Weepu... he shouted across the field like a lion roaring. Mr Piri was slapping his chest, stomping his knees and his arms were rising up. Piri Weepu was focussed on the opposition while he was doing the haka.

Piri Weepu is a focussed man with pumped up shoulders and boosted up muscles. He likes his t-shirt with the number 9 on it and he takes his job seriously. He is always fierce like a bull. The man sprints very quickly and holds the ball strongly. He is very proud of the work he has done.

Weepu was born on 1983 and his worst subjects were English, Maths and Science. He even likes to spend breaks in Rarotonga and Samoa. Piri loves his family. Are you aware that Piri Weepu likes to play other sport too, like golf and racing with cars and that his favourite place to eat is Mc Donald's.

The Brave Knight

Once there was a knight. He was a brave knight . He lived in a palace. One day the knight found an invitation. So he carefully took it out and shot away like a shooting star. It took him two days to get to the kingdom of doom. The next day he entered the kingdom of doom. The kingdom of doom looked like it had booby-traps, but did it? Once he stepped inside...BANG! went the sword. A robot came out and said ''I want to challenge"
''OK'' said the knight . They had a big battle. Bing Bing went the swords and the knight sliced the robots head off.

Layers of the Earth

WALT-make a model of the layer of of the earth out of play dough.shakes the outer core, mantel and the crust making the volcano explode.

So... that when we learn about natural disasters we can use our knowledge of the layers to understand them better .

To... help us in topic and science and learn about the earth around us.

The first layer of the earth is named the crust or the tectonic plates it includes continents seas
are you aware that the thickness of the tectonic plates or crust is 15-17km.

The second layer is the mantle but there is a difference... because there is a upper mantle and a lower mantle. Did you know that the upper mantle is 400km thick, containing iron and magnesium? The lower mantle is 2300km thick and it contains more than the upper layer.

The third layer is the outer core. It is 2300km thick. Does anybody know that includes liquid, nickel and sulphur?

Finally the last layer is the inner core. It is 1220km thick. It contains iron, nickel and it is solid. The temperature is 6650 degrees Celsius!

Misimoa Term Two Goals

Term Two Learning Goals

My learning goal for Reading this term is to:
Read every single day so my mind can fill up with heaps of information.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Let the T.V and the computer have a rest and concentrate on my homework and reading.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Testing me and trying to take me to that limit on reading that I need to be at.

My learning goal for Writing this term is:
Practise my writing and follow the teacher’s way of writing.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Go step by step.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Getting one of my sisters to challenge me.

My learning goal for Maths this term is to:
Learn my division facts.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Learn more about multiplication so that I can relate it to division.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Teaching me at home.
